Luke Scott jacked one out of the ballyard and had 3 RBI as the Jessica 2 much
baseball outscored the Craig Boys of Summer 9 to 7.
Scott led the offense for Jessica. He cleared the fences for a two-run home
run (his 1st of the season) in the 2nd inning, stroked a one-base hit in the
7th inning and doubled resulting in a run in the 8th inning. Craig was
out-hit by Jessica, 13 hits to 10.
Dan Wheeler(1-0) got the win allowing 1 run in 2 and 2/3 innings. Wheeler was
helped out by Brad Lidge who recorded his 1st save. Taylor Buchholz(1-1) was
the loser in relief.

Jake Peavy whitewashed Trevor at AT&T Park where the Loni Green Monstahs beat
the Trevor Fencebusters by the score of 8 to 0.
Peavy(1-0) simply dominated Trevor. He allowed just 4 hits and 3 walks in 9
innings. Loni totaled 14 hits on the night.
Dan Haren(0-1) was the losing pitcher. He was knocked around pretty good,
giving up 7 runs in 5 and 1/3 innings.

Shin-Soo Choo collected 2 extra-base hits and had 2 RBI at Ebbetts Field as
the Ben Free K Mitchell beat the Sam Mighty Acorns by the count of 5 to
3.
Ben came through with the game-winning runs in the 8th inning scoring 3 runs
using 3 hits. After an out was recorded, Chipper Jones got things rolling
when he banged out a single. One out later, Mariano Rivera stepped in and he
was wild with a pitch. Choo then doubled. Milton Bradley was up next and he
smashed a two-run homer (his 2nd of the season). Ben and Sam each finished
the afternoon with 8 hits.
Hong-Chih Kuo(1-0) went 1/3 of an inning allowing no runs for the win. Kuo got
relief help from Carlos Marmol who gained credit for his 1st save.
Rivera(0-1) took the loss in relief.

Homeruns- J.Bay-2(2nd), H.Pence(1st), X.Nady(1st)
Jason Bay blasted 2 homeruns and Ervin Santana dominated striking out 10 John
batters as the Terry Blast U Balls topped the John The Fab 9 by a score of 12
to 3 at Yankee Stadium.
Santana(1-0) contributed a very nicely pitched game. He gave up just 5 hits
and 1 walk in 9 innings. Offensively, Terry was a juggernaut. They scored
in 6 separate innings.
Kyle Lohse(0-1) ended up with the loss. He got hit hard, allowing 7 hits and
3 walks in 2 and 1/3 innings. Santana was asked about his big strikeout
performance, 'Well, it's a little odd when you rack up these numbers on the
road - instead of cheers and a running tally in the stands, everything gets
real still and quiet. Just strange - but it's nice to be able to take the
crowd out of the game.'

Roy Halladay reeled off a total of 10 strikeouts and Carlos Delgado had 4 hits
as the Stapley Luck beat the Baseball Stars by a score of 7 to
2.
Halladay(1-0) had a strong outing. He didn't allow much, just 8 hits and 1
walk in 8 and 1/3 innings. Stapley had 15 hits for the night while Baseball
had 8.
Derek Lowe(0-1) suffered the loss. He was knocked around by Stapley, allowing
10 hits and 3 walks in 6 innings. When asked about his strikeout total for
the game, Halladay offered, 'The fan's really got into it. It is fun to see
them tally up the strikeout totals up there in the stands. Fortunately, I
kept them busy tonight - of course, it would be all for naught without the
'W'.'
