Taylor Buchholz(2-1) shut down the Loni Green Monstahs hitters at Coors Field
in 11 innings. The Craig Boys of Summer came away with a 1 to 0
victory.
The score was a scoreless tie after nine. Craig won the game in the 11th
inning. Aramis Ramirez was hit by a pitch. Jack Cust stepped up next and he
drew a walk. One out later, Nick Markakis was a strikeout victim, unable to
help out. Mark Derosa was up next and he was walked intentionally to load
the bases. Mike Lowell came to the plate and drew a walk making Craig the
victors to the delight of the home town faithful. Craig rapped out 9 hits
for the night.
Kevin Gregg(0-1) absorbed the loss in relief. He pitched 2 and 1/3 innings
and surrendered 1 hit and 3 walks.

Mike Aviles cracked 2 homeruns and scored 3 times as the John Fab 9 outscored
the Terry Blast U Balls in 11 innings 7 to 6.
Both teams were tied at 6 runs apiece after nine innings. John came out the
victor in the 11th inning. After two were out Aviles hit a bases-empty home
run (his 2nd of the season) making John the winners and sending the 30,131
fans home happy. Terry had 13 hits in the game while John had 10, but John
had the more timely hits.
Francisco Rodriguez(1-1) got the win allowing no runs in 1 and 1/3 innings.
The loss was charged to Sergio Romo(0-1) in relief. He allowed 1 run and 1
hit in 1/3 of an inning.

Chase Utley collected 2 extra-base hits at Busch Stadium as the Jason Stapley
Luck beat the Sam Mighty Acorns by the count of 6 to 1.
Ted Lilly(1-1) pitched well for Jason in their victory. He went 6 and 2/3
innings surrendering 4 hits and 1 walk. Jason had 11 hits overall, while Sam
had 5.
Trevor Hoffman earned his 2nd save. Cliff Lee(1-2) was charged with the loss.
He surrendered 6 hits and 1 walk in 5 and 1/3 innings.

Jeff Bennett was the victor at Ebbetts Field as the Ben Free K Mitchell staged
a comeback win over the Jessica 2 much baseball by the count of 4 to 3.
Ben came up with the deciding runs in the 9th inning scoring 2 runs on 3 hits.
David Murphy led off the inning for Ben when he hit a single. Alexei
Ramirez next to the plate and he grounded into a double play. Josh Hamilton
then drew a walk. Cody Ransom followed and he drew a walk. Casey Blake
stepped into the box and doubled. Manny Ramirez contributed to the rally and
was walked intentionally to load the bases. Mike Napoli was next and he
delivered a base-hit. Ben finished with 12 hits in the victory.
The winning pitcher was Bennett(2-0) who allowed no runs in 1 and 1/3 innings.
Brad Lidge(0-2) took the loss in relief. 'That was exciting!,' Napoli said.
'I would have paid money to watch this one.'

Bengie Molina had 2 base hits and 2 RBI at Polo Grounds as the Trevor
Fencebusters beat the Tyler Baseball Stars 4 to 2.
Trevor took the lead for keeps in the top of the 6th inning plating an
isolated run. Trevor ended up with 12 hits for the game while Tyler had 7.
Dan Haren(1-1) picked up the victory, allowing 2 runs in 7 and 2/3 innings.
Joe Nathan gained credit for his 1st save. Derek Lowe(1-2) ended up with the
loss.
