Craig Boys of Summer won a dramatic crowd-pleaser over Loni Green Monstahs at
Coors Field pulling it out in their last at bats, 5 to 4.

The deciding run was scored by Craig in the 9th. Ryan Howard laced a single.
Aramis Ramirez was next and he drew a walk. Jack Cust was next to the plate,
but was promptly struck out. Kevin Gregg then uncorked a wild pitch.
Alfonso Soriano came to the plate and delivered a base-hit resulting in a
mighty exciting win for Craig and the 39,289 home town fans in attendance.
Although they lost, Loni did out-hit Craig 10 to 7.

Joakim Soria(2-0) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 2 and 1/3
innings. Brian Tallet(1-1) ended up with the loss in relief. He pitched 4
innings giving up only 1 hit and 1 walk.

At Yankee Stadium the Terry Blast U Balls outscored the John Fab 9 5 to
2.

Salomon Torres(1-0) won the game with a masterful relief performance. He
allowed just 2 hits and no walks in 3 innings. Terry had 13 hits for the
night while John had 9.

Torres got help from Brian Fuentes who earned his 2nd save. Jason Grilli(1-1)
was charged with the loss in relief. He allowed 2 runs and 1 hit in 1
inning.

49,612 fans watched an exciting game at Busch Stadium. The Sam Mighty Acorns
topped the Jason Stapley Luck by the slimmest of margins, 2 to 1.

Sam won the game with a run in the 8th inning. After an out was recorded, Ian
Kinsler blasted a solo shot (his 1st of the season). The game was a
scoreless duel until the 6th inning.

The victory went to Juan Cruz(1-0) who went 1/3 of an inning, allowing no
runs. Mariano Rivera earned the save, his 2nd. Trevor Hoffman(0-1) suffered
the loss in relief.

The Ben Free K Mitchell offense put up 4 runs on the scoreboard in the 2nd
inning and defeated the Jessica 2 much baseball by a score of 9 to 6 at
Ebbetts Field.

Ryan Dempster(1-2) struggled at times, but was good enough to get the victory.
He gave up 6 hits and 5 walks in 6 innings and was touched for 2 homeruns.
Ben out-hit Jessica for the game, 13 hits to 7.

Carlos Marmol gained credit for his 3rd save. Shaun Marcum(0-2) was given the
loss. Ben scored big getting 7 runs off him in 4 and 1/3 innings.


TREVOR AT TYLER

Dustin Pedroia had 2 base hits as the Tyler Baseball Stars beat the Trevor
Fencebusters by a score of 3 to 1.

Ricky Nolasco(1-0) earned his pay with a solid performance for Tyler. He went
7 innings allowing 5 hits and 1 walk seeing his ERA drop from 3.00 to 2.08.
The Trevor batters went down meekly in the 9th.

Roy Corcoran earned his 1st save. Carlos Zambrano(0-3) took the loss. He
surrendered 3 runs and 6 hits in 7 innings.
