Alex Rodriguez smashed 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI and Tim Lincecum mowed down 11
Sam batters as the Jason Stapley Luck defeated the Sam Mighty Acorns 5 to 1
at Wrigley Field.

Rodriguez had a big day with his bat. He cleared the fences for a two-run
home run in the 1st inning, doubled in the 3rd inning and cracked a solo
homerun (his 4th of the season) in the 7th inning. Jason had a total of 9
hits for the game.

Lincecum(3-0) was the winner allowing 1 run for the game. Matt Cain(0-2) ended
up with the loss. Sam Austin was impressed with Lincecum and his 11
strikeouts. 'It's tough to generate runs if you can't make contact with the
ball.'

In a two run game the seemingly unstoppable Craig Boys of Summer got by the
Terry Blast U Balls by the score of 4 to 2.

Terry was unable to recover after Craig went ahead in the top of the 4th
inning scoring one runner. Craig had only 4 hits for the game.

Aaron Cook(2-0) got the win allowing 2 runs in 8 and 1/3 innings. Taylor
Buchholz earned his 1st save. Cole Hamels(1-2) was the losing pitcher. He
served up 3 gopher balls in 7 innings.

Craig extended their winning streak to 9 games. 'I'm glad to get the win',
Cook said. 'We've got some good momentum going now.'

LONI AT TREVOR

In a tight game it was the Trevor Fencebusters 5, the Loni Green Monstahs 3 at
AT&T Park.

Jermaine Dye enjoyed a big evening at the plate. He ripped a base-knock which
was good for two runs in the 1st inning and bombed a two-run dinger (his 5th
of the season) in the 8th inning. Trevor banged out 9 hits on the night.

Scott Baker(2-0) got credit for the victory, pitching 8 and 1/3 innings and
allowing 3 runs. Baker got relief help from Joe Nathan who gained credit for
his 2nd save. Damaso Marte(0-1) was the loser in relief.


BEN AT JOHN

The Ben Free K Mitchell defeated the John Fab 9 by a score of 5 to 2 at Yankee
Stadium.

Ryan Dempster(2-2) gave Ben a solid outing. He went 7 innings surrendering 7
hits and 2 walks. Ben managed 10 hits in their victory.

Carlos Marmol recorded the save, his 4th. Johan Santana(0-2) absorbed the
loss. The Ben ballclub's record now stands at 8-6. With the loss John now
has a record of 7-7.

TYLER AT JESSICA

Homeruns- N.McLouth-2(3rd), A.Gonzalez(8th), R.Ankiel(2nd)

Nate McLouth launched 2 homeruns as the Jessica 2 much baseball topped the
Tyler Baseball Stars by a score of 5 to 2 at Minute Maid Park.

Tyler never recovered after Jessica took the lead in the 4th inning plating an
isolated run. Jessica took care of Tyler with no trouble in the 9th.

The victory was credited to Brandon Webb(1-1) who went 7 and 2/3 innings,
allowing 2 runs. Brad Lidge gained credit for his 2nd save. Ricky
Nolasco(1-1) was hit with the loss. He allowed 4 homeruns in 8 innings of
work.
