Edwin Encarnacion hit a homerun and had 4 RBI as the Terry Blast U Balls
defeated the Loni Green Monstahs by a score of 10 to 9 at Fenway
Park.

Encarnacion led the offense for Terry. He doubled plating two runs in the 3rd
inning, bombed a two-run dinger (his 1st of the season) in the 4th inning and
hit a single in the 8th inning. Loni had a chance in the 9th but they came
up short.

Jeremy Guthrie(1-1) went 7 and 1/3 innings allowing 4 runs for the win. The
loss was charged to Mark Buehrle(0-2). He was knocked around pretty good,
giving up 4 runs in 2 and 1/3 innings.

Alexei Ramirez jacked one out of the ballyard and Jesse Litsch went 9 strong
innings at Ebbetts Field as the Ben Free K Mitchell beat the Trevor
Fencebusters by the count of 10 to 1.

Ben went ahead for good in the 2nd inning scoring a single run. That scoring
would be all that was needed. The Ben offense was great, scoring in 7 of the
9 innings.

Litsch(1-1) finished the game allowing 1 run in the victory. Jair
Jurrjens(1-1) was the loser. He was unable to control the Ben offense and
allowed 8 hits and 6 walks in 4 and 1/3 innings.

35,922 fans were treated to a fine game at Coors Field as only one run
separated the combatants at game's end. The Craig Boys of Summer won by the
slimmest of margins, 2 to 1.

Joakim Soria(1-0) pitched well in relief and was credited with the victory.
He went 1 and 2/3 innings surrendering no hits and 1 walk seeing his ERA drop
from 5.40 to 2.70. The game was a scoreless duel until the 6th inning.

Todd Wellemeyer(1-1) absorbed the loss. He gave up only 2 hits and 2 walks in
7 innings.

JESSICA AT TYLER

Paul Maholm mowed down 13 Jessica batters and Garrett Atkins hit one over the
fence and had 3 RBI as the Tyler Baseball Stars beat the Jessica 2 much
baseball in 11 innings by a score of 6 to 4.

The score was tied at 4 after nine. Tyler was victorious in the 11th inning.
Jim Thome led off the inning for Tyler when he slapped a one-base hit. Pat
Burrell was next and he blasted a two-run home run (his 5th of the season)
making Tyler victorious to the delight of the the home town crowd. Tyler had
11 hits overall, while Jessica had 6.

The winning pitcher was Will Ohman(1-1) who allowed no runs in 2 innings. Brad
Lidge(0-1) suffered the loss in relief. He surrendered 2 runs and 2 hits in
1/3 of an inning.

A.J. Burnett went the distance as the Jason Stapley Luck defeated the John Fab
9 by the score of 3 to 2 at Yankee Stadium.

Jason scored the deciding run in the top of the 9th inning. Dioner Navarro
lined a base-hit. One out later, Kevin Youkilis was the next batter, but he
struck out. Alex Rodriguez then lashed a single. Carlos Delgado got his
turn next, but he was a strikeout victim. Jason had 9 hits for the
afternoon.

Burnett(2-0) was the winner allowing 2 runs for the game. Francisco
Rodriguez(0-1) was the losing pitcher in relief. He gave up 1 run and 3 hits
in 2 innings.
