In a two run game the sizzling Craig Boys of Summer got by the Loni Green
Monstahs by the score of 10 to 8.
Jose Reyes helped send the fans home happy. He doubled in the 1st inning,
popped a two-run clout over the fence (his 2nd of the season) in the 2nd
inning and lined a base-hit which scored a run in the 6th inning. Loni
scored in 5 different innings, but their shaky pitching kept them from
victory.
Rich Harden(2-0) got the win allowing 7 runs in 6 innings. Harden got relief
help from Joakim Soria who gained credit for his 2nd save. Mark Buehrle(0-3)
was hit with the loss. He was unable to control the Craig offense and
allowed 8 hits and 3 walks in 5 innings.
Craig won for the 7th straight time. Loni Stapley was very irritated after the
contest. 'Just our luck to run into a team that's playing like a juggernaut
right now. I have to congratulate Craig Stapley on his team's recent
performance. A very impressive run.'
TERRY AT JOHN

Catcher Joe Mauer had 2 base hits and 2 RBI and Gil Meche whitewashed John on
1 hit as the Terry Blast U Balls outscored the John Fab 9 6 to 0.
Meche(1-2) pitched one of his finer games as he simply was too much for the
John batters. He allowed just 1 hit and 2 walks in 9 innings seeing his ERA
drop from 7.24 to 4.37. Terry totaled 9 hits on the night.
John Danks(1-1) was charged with the loss. It was a tough loss for him as he
did not allow an earned run in his 2 and 2/3 innings of work.
'Meche took our guys to school' John Morrey said. 'Too bad he doesn't pitch
for us - it would make my job a whole lot easier!'

The Jason Stapley Luck defeated the Sam Mighty Acorns by a score of 6 to 2 at
Busch Stadium.
It was a good day for Jason thanks to Kevin Youkilis. He doubled resulting in
a run in the 3rd inning, delivered a solo blast (his 3rd of the season) in
the 5th inning and doubled knocking in a run in the 8th inning. Jason banged
out 10 hits on the afternoon.
Joe Saunders(1-2) picked up the victory, allowing 2 runs in 6 and 1/3 innings.
Saunders got help from Latroy Hawkins who was credited with his 1st save.
Andy Sonnanstine(1-2) was given the loss.
JESSICA AT BEN

Jhonny Peralta smashed 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI as the Jessica 2 much baseball
topped the Ben Free K Mitchell by a score of 10 to 5 at Ebbetts
Field.
Peralta really lit it up for Jessica. The Ben fans let him have it for what
he did to their boys. He clubbed a three-run home run in the 4th inning,
smashed a solo-shot out of the park (his 2nd of the season) in the 6th inning
and tripled in the 9th inning. For the game Jessica out-hit Ben 14 to 7.
Dan Wheeler(2-0) got credit for the victory, pitching 2 and 2/3 innings and
allowing no runs. Cory Wade(0-1) was the loser in relief. He allowed 3 hits
and 1 walk in 2 innings.
Peralta was jubilant after the game 'Let me see a box-score' he joked, 'I want
to see how that game looks on paper.'

Ryan Ludwick hit a homerun as the Tyler Baseball Stars won in dramatic fashion
over the Trevor Fencebusters by a score of 5 to 2 at Polo Grounds.
Tyler erupted with the game winning runs in the 9th inning scoring 4 runners
on 3 hits. The crucial at-bat was provided by Chris Snyder who came through
for the home fans when he smacked a three-run homer (his 1st of the season).
Tyler had 8 hits for the night.
The win was credited to Will Ohman(2-1) who went 2 innings allowing no runs.
Joe Nathan(0-1) absorbed the loss in relief. He pitched 1/3 of an inning
giving up 3 hits and 1 walk.
'That was exciting!,' Ludwick said. 'I would have paid money to watch this
one.'
