Felix Hernandez mowed down 10 Terry batters and Dan Uggla had 2 base hits and
3 RBI as the Loni Green Monstahs beat the Terry Blast U Balls by a score of
11 to 5.

Hernandez(1-0) gave a fine effort for Loni. He went 5 innings allowing 5 hits
and 2 walks improving his ERA from 7.71 to 4.91. Overall Loni out-hit Terry
16 to 10.

Jonathan Papelbon gained credit for his 1st save. Gil Meche(0-2) was tagged
with the loss. He was touched for 11 hits and 6 walks in 6 and 1/3 innings.

When asked about his strikeout total for the game, Hernandez offered, 'The
fan's really got into it. It is fun to see them tally up the strikeout
totals up there in the stands. Fortunately, I kept them busy tonight - of
course, it would be all for naught without the 'W'.'

In a lop-sided win the Ben Free K Mitchell scored 6 runs in the 8th inning and
ripped the Trevor Fencebusters by a 12 to 5 count.

Manny Ramirez helped send the fans home happy. He laced a single in the 1st
inning, lifted one out of the park for a two run home run (his 3rd of the
season) in the 7th inning and doubled resulting in a run in the 8th inning.
Ben had 15 hits for the night while Trevor had 11.

The victory was credited to Jeff Bennett(1-0) who went 4 innings, allowing no
runs. Joba Chamberlain(0-1) was the loser in relief. He pitched 1 inning
giving up 4 hits and 1 walk.

Zack Greinke completed the game without help from the bullpen at Coors Field
as the Craig Boys of Summer beat the Sam Mighty Acorns 4 to 1.

In the 3rd inning Craig went on top for good plating an isolated run on 2
hits. Both teams totaled 6 hits on the afternoon.

The win went to Greinke(1-0) who allowed 1 run in the game. The losing pitcher
was Matt Cain(0-1). He surrendered 4 hits and 2 walks in 3 and 2/3 innings.

Homeruns- E.Dukes(1st), A.Gonzalez(4th), K.Shoppach(3rd), P.Burrell-2(4th)

Pat Burrell ripped 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI as the Baseball Stars defeated the
Jessica 2 much baseball by a score of 6 to 3 at Polo Grounds.

Burrell had a good evening at the plate. He smashed a solo-shot out of the
park in the 2nd inning and lofted a three-run bomb (his 4th of the season) in
the 5th inning. Baseball banged out 8 hits on the night.

The win went to Derek Lowe(1-1) who allowed 3 runs in 7 and 2/3 innings. Kerry
Wood recorded his 2nd save. Matt Garza(0-1) was charged with the loss.


STAPLEY AT JOHN

Alex Rodriguez hit a homerun and had 3 RBI and Roy Halladay had a strong
outing at Yankee Stadium as the Stapley Luck beat the John Fab 9 by the count
of 10 to 1.

The John fans didn't appreciate the big day Rodriguez had. He lost the ball
over the fence for three runs (his 2nd of the season) in the 1st inning,
doubled in the 5th inning and stroked a one-base hit in the 6th inning.
Stapley rapped out 13 hits for the afternoon.

Halladay(2-0) finished the game allowing 1 run in the victory. The loss was
charged to Kyle Lohse(0-2). He allowed 4 runs and 2 hits without retiring a
batter.
