One run was the difference at Busch Stadium as the Terry Blast U Balls
defeated the Jason Stapley Luck 4 to 3.
The game was decided in the 8th inning. Jason Bay doubled. Derrek Lee
stepped up to the plate and he singled. Edwin Encarnacion was a strikeout
victim, unable to help out. Hunter Pence got his chance to keep things
going, but he went down on strikes. Joe Mauer came to the plate and lashed a
single. Terry banged out 9 hits on the night.
Darren Oliver(1-1) went 2 and 1/3 innings allowing no runs for the win. Brian
Fuentes recorded his 17th save. Tim Lincecum(8-3) was tagged with the loss.
Despite taking the loss, he whiffed 10 batters in 7 and 2/3 innings.
With this win, Terry has a 32-30 record. They have been 6-4 lately. With the
loss Jason now has a record of 35-30.

Xavier Nady cracked 2 homeruns and had 5 RBI at Coors Field as the John Fab 9
beat the Craig Boys of Summer by the count of 12 to 6.
Nady had a big day at the plate. He blasted a two-run home run in the 7th
inning and lofted a three-run 'big-fly' (his 11th of the season) in the 8th
inning. Overall John out-hit Craig 17 to 11.
Javier Lopez(2-0) got the win allowing no runs in 3 innings. The losing
pitcher was Chad Qualls(2-2) in relief. The John ballclub's record now
stands at 28-37. With the loss, Craig has a record of 3-7 lately, 38-27
overall.

Carlos Beltran went yard and had 2 RBI at Fenway Park where the Loni Green
Monstahs beat the Sam Mighty Acorns by the score of 9 to 4.
Sam never recovered after Loni took the lead in the 3rd inning with 2 runs
using 2 hits. After two were out Mark Teixeira opened up the rally as he
laced a single. Dan Uggla next to the plate and he bombed a two-run dinger
(his 13th of the season). Loni had 9 hits for the night.
Felix Hernandez(4-4) got credit for the victory, pitching 6 and 1/3 innings
and allowing 3 runs. Andy Sonnanstine(6-8) was the loser. He served up 4
homeruns in his 4 and 2/3 innings.

Roy Oswalt pitched a complete game and Jim Thome touched them all and had 2
RBI as the Tyler Baseball Stars beat the Ben Free K Mitchell by a score of 9
to 2.
Tyler took the lead for keeps in the 2nd inning scoring a single run. Thome
lofted a solo-blast 'downtown' (his 14th of the season). Pat Burrell got his
turn next, but he was a strikeout victim. Stephen Drew dug into the batters
box next, but he struck out. Tyler managed 14 hits in their victory.
The winning pitcher was Oswalt(4-5) who allowed 2 runs for the game. Tim
Hudson(3-5) was the losing pitcher. He gave up 8 hits and 1 walk in 5
innings.
TREVOR AT JESSICA

In a two run game the Jessica 2 much baseball got by the slumping Trevor
Fencebusters by the score of 6 to 4.
Jessica came through with the game-winning runs in the bottom of the 8th
inning scoring 2 runs utilizing 3 base hits. Jhonny Peralta kicked off the
action when he smacked a single. Damon swiped second base. Ryan Doumit then
lined a single. Nick Punto followed and he grounded into a double play.
Elijah Dukes came to the plate and smashed a solo-shot out of the park (his
8th of the season). Trevor threatened in the 9th but Jessica was able to put
down the rally.
The win went to Chad Durbin(4-0) who allowed no runs in 1 and 2/3 innings.
Brad Lidge was credited with his 14th save. Joba Chamberlain(0-5) absorbed
the loss in relief. Despite losing, he struckout 6 Jessica batters in 3 and
2/3 innings.
'We lose our concentration for one pitch, and we lose the game.' Trevor's
manager said after the game. 'Maybe now these guys will listen when I say
they have to concentrate on EVERY pitch.'
