At Yankee Stadium the John Fab 9 were battered 10 to 4 by the Loni Green
Monstahs.

Loni took the lead off Kyle Lohse in the first inning when they tallied 4 runs
on 4 hits. The critical plate appearance was by Dan Uggla who quieted the
crowd when he rifled a three-run blast (his 10th of the season). Both teams
finished the game with 12 hits.

The win was credited to Mark Buehrle(1-9) who went 7 innings allowing 4 runs.
Lohse(4-8) took the loss. He pitched 1 and 2/3 innings giving up 6 hits and
1 walk.

Chase Utley had 2 base hits and 2 RBI at Busch Stadium as the Jason Stapley
Luck beat the Craig Boys of Summer 5 to 4.

Grant Balfour(2-1) pitched well in relief and was credited with the victory.
He was stingy on the mound, allowing just 1 hit and 1 walk in 2 innings
seeing his ERA drop from 4.67 to 4.19. Craig went down quietly in the 9th.

Taylor Buchholz(5-2) was given the loss in relief. He gave up 3 hits and no
walks in 2/3 of an inning.

BEN AT SAM

Jose Valverde came through with a solid 3 innings as the Ben Free K Mitchell
defeated the Sam Mighty Acorns 6 to 2 at Wrigley Field.

Valverde(1-0) was dominant in relief. He did not allow a baserunner in his 3
innings lowering his ERA from 3.22 to 2.84. Ben had 10 hits for the game and
Sam had 5.

B.J. Ryan(1-2) was the losing pitcher in relief. He pitched 1/3 of an inning
allowing 3 hits and no walks.

TREVOR AT TERRY

Left fielder Ryan Braun connected with a 'big fly' and had 2 RBI as the Trevor
Fencebusters defeated the Terry Blast U Balls by a score of 6 to 3 at
Candlestick Park.

Scott Baker(4-3) earned his pay with a solid performance for Trevor. He went
5 and 2/3 innings allowing 6 hits and 3 walks reducing his ERA from 4.53 to
4.20. Trevor had a total of 12 hits for the game.

Baker got relief help from Joe Nathan who gained credit for his 12th save.
Cole Hamels(6-4) suffered the loss. He was touched for 3 homeruns in his 6
and 1/3 innings of work.


JESSICA AT TYLER

Homeruns- R.Ankiel-2(6th), R.Ludwick(8th), T.Teagarden(2nd)

Rick Ankiel blasted 2 homeruns and had 4 RBI at Polo Grounds where the Jessica
2 much baseball beat the Tyler Baseball Stars by the score of 7 to 2.

Ankiel enjoyed a fine evening at the plate. He bombed a two-run dinger in the
5th inning and cleared the fences for a two-run home run (his 6th of the
season) in the 6th inning. Jessica had 13 hits overall, while Tyler had 10.

Brandon Webb(4-4) was the winner allowing 2 runs in 7 and 1/3 innings. The
losing pitcher was Derek Lowe(4-7). He got hit hard, allowing 10 hits and 4
walks in 4 and 2/3 innings.
