Chad Billingsley(4-3) and Kyle Lohse(4-7) locked horns in a pitcher's duel
with Billingsley and the Craig Boys of Summer coming out on top of the John
Fab 9 4 to 0.
The game started off with Craig taking the lead in the first scoring one
runner. That early scoring held up. Craig finished with 7 hits while John
ended up with 4.
Brian Bruney got the save, his 1st.

Magglio Ordonez had 4 hits and Carlos Zambrano pitched a complete game as the
Trevor Fencebusters defeated the Sam Mighty Acorns in 11 innings by a score
of 2 to 1 at Wrigley Field.
The score was tied at 1 after nine. Trevor won the game in the 11th inning.
Jorge Cantu drew a walk. Ordonez came to the plate and lined a single.
Brian Roberts then hit a sacrifice fly. Trevor managed 10 hits in their
victory.
Zambrano(5-6) got the victory, allowing 1 run for the game. B.J. Ryan(1-1) was
the losing pitcher in relief. He pitched 2 innings and surrendered 2 hits
and 2 walks.

30,696 fans watched an exciting game at Candlestick Park. The Terry Blast U
Balls topped the Ben Free K Mitchell by the slimmest of margins, 4 to
3.
Terry scored the decisive runs in a big bottom of the 8th inning scoring 2
runs using 2 hits. After an out was recorded, David Wright began the Terry
spurt when he drew a walk. Jason Bay next to the plate and he was hit by a
pitch. Derrek Lee then stroked a single. Edwin Encarnacion followed and he
drew a walk to load the bases. Hunter Pence stepped into the box and laced a
base-hit. Joe Mauer was a strikeout victim, unable to help out. Orlando
Hudson was next to the plate, but was promptly struck out. Ben had a chance
to come back in the 9th but they came up short.
Cole Hamels(6-3) went 8 innings allowing 3 runs for the victory. Brian Fuentes
recorded his 14th save. Arthur Rhodes(1-1) was the loser in relief.

Jake Peavy mowed down 10 Tyler batters at Polo Grounds as the Loni Green
Monstahs beat the Tyler Baseball Stars by the count of 5 to 4.
Peavy(6-2) was very good in the win. He surrendered only 6 hits and 1 walk in
9 innings and gave up 2 homeruns. The Tyler offense proved no trouble in the
bottom of the 9th.
Kerry Wood(0-2) ended up with the loss in relief. Peavy didn't realize how
many strikeouts he was racking up. When told he had 10 he was obviously
surprised, 'No kidding? Man, I knew that I had a decent total, but I didn't
think I had K'd that many. Say, that's pretty good, isn't it?'

In a game for the baseball purist, Joe Saunders(5-6) and Josh Beckett(2-8)
squared off in a tense pitching duel, Jason Stapley Luck finally emerged
victorious over Jessica 2 much baseball, 2 to 1.
Saunders pitched a fine game. He surrendered 5 hits and 2 walks in 7 innings
improving his ERA from 4.45 to 4.14. Jessica threatened in the 9th but their
rally came up short.
Billy Wagner earned the save, his 7th.
