Designated hitter Carlos Delgado went deep and had 2 RBI at Yankee Stadium
where the Jason Stapley Luck beat the John Fab 9 by the score of 6 to
0.
Jason scored 3 runs in the 6th inning. Kevin Youkilis got things going when
he drew a walk. Alex Rodriguez followed and he doubled. Delgado then
reached on an error. Carlos Quentin stepped in and he smacked a single, and
an error was also committed. J.J. Hardy followed, but he was set down on
strikes. Alex Rios contributed to the rally and was walked intentionally to
load the bases. Randy Winn stepped up next and he drew a walk. Dioner
Navarro then grounded into a double play. Jason out-hit John for the game,
11 hits to 5.
The victory went to Mike Adams(1-0) who went 4 innings, allowing no runs. Ben
Sheets(5-4) ended up with the loss. The Jason ballclub's record now stands
at 37-31. With the loss, John has a record of 4-6 lately, 28-40 overall.

The Loni Green Monstahs easily topped the Ben Free K Mitchell; the final score
was 8 to 1.
Loni drew first blood jumping out to an early lead in the first inning plating
an isolated run using 3 hits. Loni had 13 hits for the afternoon while Ben
had 8.
Damaso Marte(1-1) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 3 and 1/3
innings. Jesse Litsch(5-3) was the losing pitcher. He was hit hard and gave
up 12 hits and 2 walks in 4 and 2/3 innings.

The Craig Boys of Summer cruised to a 10 to 3 victory over the Tyler Baseball
Stars at Polo Grounds.
Craig brought 5 runs across the plate in the top of the 4th inning with the
help of 5 hits. The highlight belonged to Mike Jacobs who silenced the
stadium when he blasted a two-run home run (his 9th of the season). Craig
had 12 hits overall, while Tyler had 7.
Greg Smith(4-1) got credit for the victory, pitching 5 and 2/3 innings and
allowing 2 runs. The loss was charged to Ricky Nolasco(6-4). He was knocked
around pretty good, giving up 5 runs in 3 and 2/3 innings.
TERRY AT JESSICA

The Terry Blast U Balls had very little trouble at Minute Maid Park downing
the Jessica 2 much baseball. The score was 11 to 4.
Jason Bay provided much of the offense. He lashed a single in the 2nd inning,
banged out a one-base hit in the 5th inning and lofted a three-run bomb (his
15th of the season) in the 8th inning. Terry had a total of 13 hits for the
game.
Cole Hamels(8-4) was the winner allowing 4 runs in 7 and 1/3 innings.
Chien-Ming Wang(0-3) was hit with the loss. He got hit hard, allowing 9 hits
and 3 walks in 6 innings.
SAM AT TREVOR

Win:Sabathia(5-5) Loss:Cain(4-5)
C.C. Sabathia(5-5), with relief help from Scott Downs, shut down the Sam
Mighty Acorns hitters at AT&T Park. The Trevor Fencebusters came away with a
6 to 0 victory.
Sabathia looked very much in control throughout the day. He allowed only 2
hits and 5 walks in 8 innings improving his ERA from 3.50 to 3.24. The
pitchers took over after the 3rd inning as neither team was able to score
again.
Matt Cain(4-5) absorbed the loss. He was knocked around by Trevor, allowing 6
hits and 3 walks in 2 and 2/3 innings. Trevor's manager was just happy to
get a win, 'We've had such a bad streak of games -- boy, it's great to get
the monkey off our back. Now maybe we can relax a little and play the kind
of baseball of which we are capable.'
