Designated hitter Mike Jacobs had 4 hits and scored 3 times at Yankee Stadium
as the Craig Boys of Summer beat the John Fab 9 12 to 7.

Craig started with a bang, jumping out to an early lead in their half of the
first when they tallied 2 runs on 3 hits. Craig totaled 14 hits on the
night.

Taylor Buchholz(5-1) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 3 innings.
Kyle Lohse(4-6) absorbed the loss. With this win, Craig has a league leading
33-19 record. They have been 7-3 lately. With the loss John now has a
record of 22-30.

First baseman Albert Pujols smashed 2 homeruns and had 5 RBI and Cliff Lee was
able to finish what he started and was credited with a complete game as the
Sam Mighty Acorns clobbered the outmatched Trevor Fencebusters, 20 to
4.

Pujols enjoyed a great evening at the plate. Every time he came up in the
latter innings, the crowd was on their feet cheering. He blasted a two-run
home run in the 1st inning, cracked a two-run shot (his 11th of the season)
in the 3rd inning and lined a base-hit in the 6th inning. Sam lit up the
scoreboard in the 6th inning when they had 5 runs on 6 hits and the 7th
inning with 5 runs on 3 hits. The Sam offense man-handled the Trevor
pitching staff as they scored in 7 of the 9 innings.

Lee(6-4) allowed 4 runs on the game. C.C. Sabathia(4-3) was hit with the loss.
He served up 3 gopher balls in 5 and 1/3 innings.

'I was really seeing the ball tonight,' Pujols said 'I wish it was always this
easy.'

The Ben Free K Mitchell nipped the Terry Blast U Balls 4 to 3 at Candlestick
Park in a hard fought contest.

Ben tallied 2 runs in the top of the 5th inning when they had 3 base hits.
They would hold up as the winning runs. Ben finished with 9 hits in the
victory.

Ryan Dempster(7-4) got the win allowing 3 runs in 7 and 1/3 innings. Dempster
was helped out by Hong-Chih Kuo who recorded his 2nd save. Hiroki
Kuroda(4-4) was the losing pitcher. He pitched 7 innings giving up 8 hits
and 1 walk.

'I didn't have my best stuff but sometimes you just get lucky,' Dempster said,
'this was one of those times.'

LONI AT TYLER

40,642 fans were treated to a fine game at Polo Grounds as only one run
separated the combatants at game's end. The Loni Green Monstahs won by the
slimmest of margins, 8 to 7.

Loni jumped on top to stay in the 7th inning scoring a single run. Tyler
threatened in the 9th but Loni was able to put down the rally.

Manny Delcarmen(1-0) went 2 and 1/3 innings allowing 2 runs for the victory.
Jonathan Papelbon was credited with his 5th save. Roy Corcoran(0-3) suffered
the loss in relief. He surrendered 1 hit and no walks in 1 inning.


JESSICA AT JASON

Roy Halladay completed the game without help from the bullpen as the Jason
Stapley Luck beat the Jessica 2 much baseball by a score of 9 to 3.

Kevin Youkilis had a good day at the plate. He doubled in the 1st inning,
smashed a solo-shot out of the park (his 13th of the season) in the 5th
inning and doubled plating two runs in the 6th inning. Jason banged out 12
hits on the afternoon.

The win was credited to Halladay(6-5) who went the whole way allowing 3 runs.
The loss was charged to Chien-Ming Wang(0-2). He gave up 6 runs in 5 and 1/3
innings of work.
