The Tyler Baseball Stars defeated the Jason Stapley Luck by a score of 5 to 2
at Polo Grounds.
Tyler had 2 runs cross the plate in the 6th inning when they had 3 base hits.
They ended up being the winning runs. Tyler ended up with 9 hits for the
game while Jason had 6.
The win went to Roy Oswalt(3-4) who allowed 2 runs in 7 innings. Oswalt got
help from J.P. Howell who was credited with his 3rd save. Ted Lilly(3-4) was
the losing pitcher. He served up 4 gopher balls in 5 and 1/3 innings.

In a close game the John Fab 9 got by the Terry Blast U Balls by the score of
6 to 4.
John came up with 4 runs in the top of the 7th inning with the help of 4 hits.
The highlight belonged to Jerry Hairston Jr who silenced the crowd when he
doubled bringing in two baserunners. John had 9 hits overall, while Terry
had 6.
The win was credited to Jason Grilli(2-3) who went 2 innings allowing 1 run.
Brad Ziegler recorded his 5th save. Brian Fuentes(1-2) was hit with the loss
in relief. He allowed 3 runs and 2 hits without retiring a batter.

Third baseman Ty Wigginton slammed a homerun and had 3 RBI as the Craig Boys
of Summer defeated the Loni Green Monstahs by a score of 4 to 2 at Fenway
Park.
Craig tallied 2 runs in the 6th inning. The key offensive moment was provided
by Wigginton who quieted the crowd when he cracked a two-run shot (his 4th of
the season). Craig took care of Loni with no trouble in the bottom of the
9th.
Aaron Cook(5-2) was the winner allowing 2 runs in 7 and 1/3 innings. Joakim
Soria got the save, his 11th. Jonathan Papelbon(1-3) was tagged with the
loss in relief. He allowed 3 hits and no walks in 3 innings.

Josh Hamilton slammed 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI as the Ben Free K Mitchell beat
the Trevor Fencebusters by a score of 3 to 1.
Ben had the game winning rally in the 9th inning with 2 runs utilizing 2 base
hits. Clint Barmes led off and started the attack as he laced a base-knock.
Bobby Jenks then let loose a wild pitch. After an out was recorded, Hamilton
stepped in and he cleared the fences for a two-run home run (his 9th of the
season). Prince Fielder struck out, unable to help the rally. Ben had just
5 hits for the night.
Jeff Bennett(5-3) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 1 and 2/3
innings. Jenks(0-3) was the loser in relief. He gave up 2 hits and no walks
in 1 inning.
JESSICA AT SAM

At Wrigley Field, the Sam fans witnessed a great pitcher's duel. Daisuke
Matsuzaka(5-0) finally bested his Jessica opposite, Scott Kazmir(4-3), by the
score of 2 to 0.
Sam went ahead for good in the 2nd inning scoring a single run. That early
run support was enough for Matsuzaka and Sam. Sam managed only 5 hits on the
night.
Matsuzaka got help from Mariano Rivera who earned his 12th save. Kazmir was
charged with the loss. Sam now has a record of 29-27. With this loss,
Jessica has a 3-7 record of late, 20-33, worst in the league overall.
