First baseman Kevin Youkilis smashed 2 homeruns at Busch Stadium where the
Jason Stapley Luck beat the John Fab 9 3 to 0.
Jason took the lead off Ubaldo Jimenez in the first inning scoring one runner.
That scoring would be all that was needed. Both teams ended up with 8 hits
on the night.
Joe Saunders(2-5) got credit for the victory, pitching 8 innings and allowing
no runs. Saunders got help from Billy Wagner who was credited with his 2nd
save. The loss was charged to Jimenez(1-1).
SAM AT TERRY

Homeruns- C.Granderson(4th), C.Pena(5th), V.Guerrero(5th)
Vladimir Guerrero hit a homerun and had 2 RBI at Candlestick Park where the
Sam Mighty Acorns beat the Terry Blast U Balls by the score of 4 to 3.
Sam came up with the deciding runs in the top of the 8th inning scoring 2 runs
utilizing 3 base hits. Ian Kinsler led off and keyed the rally when he hit a
single. Carlos Pena was a strikeout victim, unable to help out. Darren
Oliver then let loose a wild pitch. Guerrero stepped in and he popped a
two-run clout over the fence (his 5th of the season). Matt Holliday came to
the plate and slapped a single. After another out, John Baker was the next
batter, but he struck out. Terry had a chance in the 9th but they came up
short.
Steven Shell(1-0) was the winner allowing 1 run in 1 and 1/3 innings. Shell
got relief help from Mariano Rivera who gained credit for his 6th save.
Oliver(0-1) took the loss in relief.
When questioned about the loss, Terry Stapley said, 'The fans got to see an
exciting game out there tonight. Unfortunately, we couldn't get it done this
time. Next time, though, we'll be the clubhouse with all the smiles.'
JESSICA AT TREVOR

The Trevor Fencebusters defeated the Jessica 2 much baseball by a score of 4
to 1 at AT&T Park.
In the bottom of the 4th inning Trevor went on top for good scoring a single
run. Overall Trevor out-hit Jessica 10 to 7.
C.C. Sabathia(2-1) allowed 1 run in 7 and 1/3 innings, and picked up the
victory. Joe Nathan earned his 4th save. The losing pitcher was Matt
Garza(2-2). He pitched 7 and 1/3 innings giving up 10 hits and 1
walk.
Trevor now has a record of 10-18. With the loss Jessica now has a record of
11-14.
CRAIG AT LONI

Homeruns- C.Beltran(3rd), D.Uggla(5th)
Jon Lester had a strong outing as the Loni Green Monstahs defeated the Craig
Boys of Summer by a score of 6 to 1 at Fenway Park.
Lester(2-1) looked very much in control throughout the day. He was stingy on
the mound, allowing just 4 hits and 2 walks in 9 innings. Loni rapped out 14
hits for the afternoon.
Zack Greinke(3-2) was the losing pitcher. He was hit hard and gave up 7 hits
and 4 walks in 3 and 2/3 innings. With this win, Loni has a 14-14 record.
They have been 5-5 lately. With this loss, Craig has a 5-5 record of late,
20-8 overall.
TYLER AT BEN

Jesse Litsch(2-2) and Roy Oswalt(0-3) treated the Ben fans to a fine pitching
duel at Ebbetts Field. The Ben Free K Mitchell eventually emerged as victors
over the Tyler Baseball Stars by the score of 2 to 0.
Ben scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 7th inning. Ben won despite being
out-hit by Tyler 8 hits to 5. Litsch got help from Hong-Chih Kuo who earned
his 1st save.
