Ryan Howard connected with a 'big fly' and had 3 RBI as the Craig Boys of
Summer topped the Jason Stapley Luck by a score of 13 to 8 at Busch
Stadium.

Howard led the offense for Craig. He tripled which scored a run in the 4th
inning and popped a two-run clout over the fence (his 11th of the season) in
the 9th inning. Craig ended up with 17 hits for the game while Jason had 11.

Zack Greinke(4-2) picked up the victory, allowing 8 runs in 6 and 1/3 innings.
Taylor Buchholz was credited with his 3rd save. Roy Halladay(3-3) was the
losing pitcher. He gave up 6 runs in 2 and 2/3 innings of work.

Brian Roberts collected 2 extra-base hits as the Trevor Fencebusters beat the
Loni Green Monstahs by a score of 2 to 1.

Trevor tallied 2 runs in the 2nd inning with the help of 3 hits. That was all
the offense they were to need. Despite losing, Loni out-hit Trevor 10 to 7.

The win went to C.C. Sabathia(3-1) who allowed 1 run in 7 innings. Joe Nathan
earned the save, his 7th. Jake Peavy(4-1) took the loss.

'I always am most impressed when a pitcher finds a way to win even without his
best stuff,' Trevor's manager said after the game. 'Sabathia did not have
command of his pitches most of the night, but he proved he really knew how to
pitch!'

Catcher Yadier Molina had 2 base hits and 3 RBI as the Sam Mighty Acorns
defeated the John Fab 9 10 to 4 at Wrigley Field.

Andy Sonnanstine(3-5) had a steady outing. He was reached for 5 hits and 2
walks in 5 and 2/3 innings. Both teams finished the game with 10 hits.

Mariano Rivera recorded his 9th save. The losing pitcher was Ben Sheets(1-3).
He was hit hard and gave up 9 hits and 4 walks in 5 innings.

The Sam ballclub's record now stands at 17-17. With the loss, the John
ballclub's record is 13-21, worst in the league.

Tim Hudson had a strong outing and Casey Blake jacked one out of the ballyard
and had 2 RBI as the Ben Free K Mitchell destroyed the Terry Blast U Balls by
a score of 10 to 0 at Ebbetts Field.

Ben brought 7 runs across the plate in the bottom of the 2nd inning with the
help of 6 hits. That scoring would be all that was needed. For the game Ben
out-hit Terry 12 to 3.

Hudson(2-1) got the win allowing no runs in 8 innings. Jeremy Guthrie(2-3)
ended up with the loss. He surrendered 4 runs and 4 hits in 1 and 1/3
innings.

Stephen Drew cleared three ducks from a very crowded pond with a grand slam at
Minute Maid Park as the Tyler Baseball Stars pulled off a dramatic comeback
beating the Jessica 2 much baseball by the count of 7 to 4.

Tyler came through with the game-winning runs in the top of the 9th inning
when they tallied 4 runs on 1 hit. The crucial at-bat was provided by Drew
who silenced the stadium when he cleared the bases with a Grand Slam homerun
(his 4th of the season). Tyler had 11 hits for the game and Jessica had 4.

Joey Devine(3-0) got credit for the victory, pitching 1 and 2/3 innings and
allowing no runs. Huston Street(0-1) was given the loss in relief.

'I pin this one on my own shoulders,' Street said. 'The bottom line is I
didn't get the job done. Our fans deserve better than this.'
