Matt Cain went 9 strong innings at Minute Maid Park where the Sam Mighty
Acorns beat the Jessica 2 much baseball by the score of 7 to 3.
Cain(3-2) was very good in the win. He didn't allow much, just 4 hits and 1
walk in 9 innings. Sam totaled 11 hits on the night.
Shaun Marcum(0-4) absorbed the loss. He was knocked around pretty good,
giving up 6 runs in 5 and 2/3 innings.

Hanley Ramirez had 4 hits and 5 RBI at AT&T Park as the Trevor Fencebusters
beat the Craig Boys of Summer in 15 innings by the count of 12 to 10.
The score was knotted at 10 after nine innings. Trevor came out the victor in
the 15th inning. Magglio Ordonez led off and he drew a walk. Brian Roberts
next to the plate and he slapped a base-hit. Two outs later Ramirez came up
and he popped a two-run clout over the fence (his 4th of the season)
resulting in an exciting win for Trevor and a raucous post-game celebration
by the home town fans. Both teams finished the game with 17 hits.
The victory was credited to Geoff Geary(1-0) who went 3 innings, allowing no
runs. Jesse Carlson(1-2) took the loss in relief. He allowed 1 run and 1 hit
without retiring a batter.

Alexei Ramirez slammed 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI at Ebbetts Field as the Ben
Free K Mitchell beat the John Fab 9 7 to 5.
Ramirez provided much of the offense. He blasted a solo shot in the 4th
inning, doubled in the 5th inning and lifted one out of the park for a two
run home run (his 9th of the season) in the 7th inning. Ben had a total of
12 hits for the game.
Edinson Volquez(2-1) got the win allowing 4 runs in 7 innings. Volquez got
help from Carlos Marmol who was credited with his 7th save. Johan
Santana(0-5) was the losing pitcher. He surrendered 9 hits and no walks in 6
and 1/3 innings.
The Ben ballclub's record now stands at 18-13. With the loss John now has a
record of 12-19.
TERRY AT LONI

Derrek Lee had 3 base hits and 2 RBI as the Terry Blast U Balls outscored the
Loni Green Monstahs 11 to 4.
Cole Hamels(4-2) pitched a solid game. He surrendered 7 hits and 2 walks in 8
innings and surrendered 2 'round-trippers'. Terry had 17 hits overall, while
Loni had 7.
The losing pitcher was Mark Buehrle(0-6). He pitched 1 and 2/3 innings
allowing 6 hits and 3 walks.

Shane Victorino had 2 base hits and 2 RBI as the Jason Stapley Luck defeated
the Tyler Baseball Stars by the score of 2 to 1 at Busch Stadium.
In the bottom of the 4th inning Jason scored 2 runs. Alex Rodriguez got
things going when he drew a walk. After an out was recorded, Carlos Delgado
came to the plate and lined a base-hit. Victorino then tripled. After
another out, Dioner Navarro got his chance to keep things going, but he went
down on strikes. Billy Wagner was perfect in relief and got the save, his
3rd.
The winning pitcher was Tim Lincecum(6-0) who allowed 1 run in 6 innings. Paul
Maholm(1-2) was the loser. Jason now has a record of 17-14. With this loss,
Tyler has a 4-6 record of late, 16-15 overall.
