In an exciting finish the Terry Blast U Balls pulled out a win over the Loni
Green Monstahs by a score of 8 to 7 at Candlestick Park.

The game was won by Terry with a run in the 9th inning. Derrek Lee smashed a
solo-shot out of the park (his 3rd of the season) making Terry the victors to
the delight of the home town faithful. Terry ended up with 17 hits for the
game while Loni had 12.

Brian Fuentes(1-1) went 1 inning allowing 2 runs for the win. Kevin Gregg(1-4)
suffered the loss in relief. He surrendered 3 hits and 1 walk in 2 and 2/3
innings.

Johan Santana carried a no-hitter into the 6th inning as the John Fab 9
outscored the Craig Boys of Summer 8 to 2.

Santana(1-5) earned his pay with a solid performance for John. He was reached
for 3 hits and 3 walks in 6 and 2/3 innings. Santana mowed down 8 Craig
batters. The left-handed Santana had his no-hit bid broken up by Brian Giles
who singled with nobody out in the 6th inning. John had 14 hits overall,
while Craig had 5.

Justin Verlander(0-4) was the losing pitcher. He gave up 7 runs in 2 and 2/3
innings of work. The John ballclub's record now stands at 16-22. With the
loss Craig now has a record of 23-15.

In a close game it was the Jason Stapley Luck 8, the Sam Mighty Acorns 6 at
Wrigley Field.

Jason scored the decisive runs in a big top of the 9th inning scoring 2 runs
on 4 hits. Alex Rodriguez led off and he laced a one-base hit. Carlos
Quentin stepped up next and he slapped a single. J.D. Drew then doubled.
J.J. Hardy was up next and he laced a single. Alex Rios stepped into the box
and grounded into a double play. Jason managed 11 hits in their victory.

The victory was credited to Trevor Hoffman(2-1) who went 3 innings, allowing
no runs. Jim Johnson(1-1) took the loss in relief. He pitched 3 innings and
surrendered 5 hits and no walks.

The Trevor Fencebusters edged the Jessica 2 much baseball in 12 innings at
AT&T Park by the score of 3 to 2.

The game was deadlocked at 2 after nine full innings. Finally, Trevor pulled
the game out in the 12th inning. Justin Morneau laced a base-knock.
Jermaine Dye followed, but he was set down on strikes. Bengie Molina then
doubled. Jorge Cantu came up and he drew a walk to load the bases. Magglio
Ordonez came to the plate and drew a walk making Trevor the winners and
sending the 19,151 fans home happy. Trevor had 8 hits for the afternoon.

Scott Downs(2-0) picked up the victory, allowing no runs in 2 innings. Joe
Beimel(0-1) absorbed the loss in relief. He pitched 1/3 of an inning
allowing 2 hits and 1 walk.


TYLER AT BEN

Jesse Litsch came through with a solid 9 innings as the Ben Free K Mitchell
defeated the Tyler Baseball Stars by the score of 10 to 1 at Ebbetts
Field.

Prince Fielder had a big evening at the plate. He doubled in the 2nd inning,
lifted one out of the park for a two run home run (his 5th of the season) in
the 4th inning and doubled which was good for two runs in the 5th inning.
Ben rapped out 14 hits for the night.

Litsch(4-2) finished the game allowing 1 run in the victory. Derek Lowe(2-5)
was charged with the loss. He allowed Ben 7 runs in 4 innings of work.
