Brian McCann ripped 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI as the John Fab 9 defeated the
Jason Stapley Luck by a score of 7 to 5 at Busch Stadium.

McCann had a good evening at the plate. He blasted a two-run home run in the
1st inning and hit a bases-empty home run (his 4th of the season) in the 4th
inning. John had a total of 10 hits for the game.

John Danks(3-1) got credit for the victory, pitching 8 innings and allowing 5
runs. Danks got relief help from Brad Ziegler who gained credit for his 2nd
save. A.J. Burnett(3-3) was charged with the loss. He surrendered 4 hits
and 1 walk in 2/3 of an inning.

'He gutted it out' John Morrey said of Danks. 'I was very impressed by his
tenacity.'

Derek Jeter had 3 base hits and 2 RBI as the Terry Blast U Balls defeated the
Sam Mighty Acorns 5 to 3 at Candlestick Park.

Terry had 3 runs cross the plate in the 6th inning. The crucial at-bat was
provided by Jeter who made the crowd happy when he doubled which was good for
two runs. The game was a scoreless duel until the 6th inning.

The victory went to Hiroki Kuroda(3-2) who went 7 innings, allowing 3 runs.
Kuroda got help from Brian Fuentes who was credited with his 8th save. Andy
Sonnanstine(2-5) suffered the loss.

With this win, Terry has a 13-14 record. They have been 6-4 lately. Sam has
a record of 14-16 after the loss.

JESSICA AT TREVOR

Rick Ankiel connected with a 'big fly' and had 4 RBI as the Jessica 2 much
baseball outscored the Trevor Fencebusters 10 to 7.

Ankiel provided the offensive punch. He doubled plating two runs in the 1st
inning and cleared the fences for a two-run home run (his 4th of the season)
in the 3rd inning. Trevor was out-hit by Jessica, 13 hits to 7.

Scott Kazmir(3-1) went 5 and 1/3 innings allowing 3 runs for the win. Dan
Wheeler recorded his 1st save. The loss was charged to Carlos Zambrano(2-5).
He was hit hard and gave up 10 hits and 5 walks in 6 and 2/3 innings.


CRAIG AT LONI

Alfonso Soriano smacked 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI at Fenway Park where the
Craig Boys of Summer beat the Loni Green Monstahs by the score of 10 to
5.

Soriano was a one-man wrecking crew. He popped a two-run clout over the fence
in the 2nd inning, doubled in the 4th inning, smashed a bases-empty 'big-fly'
(his 9th of the season) in the 7th inning and doubled in the 9th inning. For
the game Craig out-hit Loni 18 to 9.

The winning pitcher was Greg Smith(2-1) who allowed 4 runs in 8 and 1/3
innings. Felix Hernandez(1-2) was hit with the loss. He was unable to
control the Craig offense and allowed 11 hits and 2 walks in 3 and 2/3
innings.

Craig now has a record of a league leading 21-9. With the loss, Loni has a
record of 5-5 lately, 15-15 overall.

TYLER AT BEN

The Ben Free K Mitchell had an easy time of it at Ebbetts Field defeating the
Tyler Baseball Stars by a score of 8 to 2.

Ben took the lead for good in the 2nd inning scoring one runner utilizing 2
base hits. Ben had 12 hits overall, while Tyler had 8.

The win was credited to Ryan Dempster(4-3) who went 6 and 2/3 innings allowing
1 run. Derek Lowe(1-4) took the loss. He allowed 9 hits and 2 walks in 4 and
1/3 innings.

The Ben ballclub's record now stands at 17-13. With this loss, Tyler has a
5-5 record of late, 16-14 overall.
