James Shields allowed Loni Stapley to rest his bullpen, tossing a complete
game as the Loni Green Monstahs beat the Terry Blast U Balls in 10 innings by
a score of 4 to 3.

The game was deadlocked at 3 after nine full innings. Loni was victorious in
the 10th inning. After two outs Mark Teixeira ripped a base-knock. Carlos
Lee stepped up next and he drew a walk. Geovany Soto then doubled. Loni
finished with 8 hits in the victory.

The victory was credited to Shields(6-1) who went the distance, allowing 3
runs. Ervin Santana(3-4) was tagged with the loss. He surrendered 7 hits and
4 walks in 9 and 2/3 innings.

Kyle Lohse tossed a complete game shutout and second baseman Brandon Phillips
blasted a homerun and had 3 RBI as the John Fab 9 defeated the Craig Boys of
Summer 9 to 0 at Coors Field.

Lohse(4-3) contributed a very nicely pitched game. He gave up just 7 hits and
3 walks in 9 innings seeing his ERA drop from 4.91 to 4.08. John totaled 15
hits on the night.

Chad Billingsley(2-3) was given the loss. He pitched 1 and 2/3 innings
allowing 5 hits and 2 walks.

JASON AT SAM

In a tight game it was the Sam Mighty Acorns 8, the Jason Stapley Luck 6 at
Wrigley Field.

Sam set the tone of the game in the first inning scoring 3 runners on 3 hits.
Jason had 13 hits in the game while Sam had 9, but Sam had the more timely
hits.

Cliff Lee(5-3) picked up the victory, allowing 6 runs in 6 innings. Lee got
help from Matt Capps who was credited with his 1st save. Roy Halladay(3-4)
was the loser. He gave up 6 hits and 3 walks in 1 inning.

The Sam ballclub's record now stands at 19-18. With the loss, Jason has a
record of 5-5 lately, 19-18 overall.

JESSICA AT TREVOR

Scott Baker went the distance and B.J. Upton had 2 base hits and 2 RBI as the
Trevor Fencebusters defeated the Jessica 2 much baseball by the score of 5 to
2 at AT&T Park.

Trevor came up with 4 runs in the 7th inning with the help of 3 hits. The
highlight belonged to Upton who elicited a roar from the hometown fans when
he stroked a base-hit scoring two baserunners. Trevor rapped out 9 hits for
the night.

Baker(3-1) got the victory, allowing 2 runs for the game. Brandon Webb(1-3)
was charged with the loss. He pitched 6 and 1/3 innings and surrendered 7
hits and 2 walks.


TYLER AT BEN

Pat Burrell rocketed 2 homeruns and had 3 RBI as the Tyler Baseball Stars
outscored the Ben Free K Mitchell 7 to 6.

Burrell had a big evening at the plate. He cleared the fences for a two-run
home run in the 1st inning and hit a bases-empty home run (his 13th of the
season) in the 6th inning. Tyler had 12 hits overall, while Ben had 9.

The victory was credited to Ricky Nolasco(4-1) who went 6 innings, allowing 4
runs. Kerry Wood earned the save, his 8th. Jamie Moyer(3-3) was the losing
pitcher.
